Sermon Outline

Kernel: As we rightly obey the word of God, we must understand that we will still face hardship, and that our obedience does not negate any hardship. That is one of the reasons God has given us His word: so that might know more of Him and be comforted by who He is. The Bible is about God, not us.

However, it is for us and our good as we rightly pursue sanctified, faithful living. When we rightly apply the word, we grow. As we grow, we are better suited to face the continuing degradation and fallout of the sinful fallen world around us.

2 Timothy 3:10-4:5: All of Scripture, All the Time, for All His People

Introduction: As we obey, we will still face hardship

1) The word of God is about God

2) The Word of God is for us

Application: Rightly apply the word of God in all seasons, for the challenges that are yet to come.
