Sermon Discussion Questions
What is the heart of Jesus toward the lost? What does he call us to pray for? Do our hearts and prayers match what we see in this passage? (Matthew 9:36–38)
What is the mystery of Christ that is now being revealed? (vv. 1–6) What would we call this new people that is being formed? How does this new people get formed? (end of v. 6)
Do our hearts love the church and the diversity of people in it? Or, do we gravitate towards those most like us?
If the new people is formed "through the gospel" then what does Paul spend his life doing? Do we make sharing the gospel a regular part of our lives? If the answer is no, why do you think that is?
What is gospel preaching supposed to create? How does the church reveal the wisdom of God?
Have you ever considered a call to go and preach the gospel in places where there are not yet faithful churches? Take some time to pray about how you can be an intentional part of this global gospel work whether you go overseas or stay here.
