Stacy Thorpe

Director for Care & Counseling

Stacy is married to Peter, and they live in Lakeville with their three kids (2 teens and one preteen). She is an only child and her top 5 StrengthsFinders are: Learner, Empathy, Relator, Maximizer, and Connectedness.

Stacy grew up in the Twin Cities in a Christian home. She came to know Jesus while in youth group in her church at the age of 14. During that year she started reading her Bible and praying, and wanted to know Jesus more. Her youth group friends and mentors were a formative part of her early Christian life throughout high school.

All Christians are called to minister to others in their various places. For Stacy, this has looked like ministering to her family and her local church, specifically being drawn to one-on-one ministry. In 2016, she took her first CCEF (Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation) class, and it was life changing. The Lord led her to pursue a Masters in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary, and also to do an internship with a local counseling organization. Stacy loved diving deep into understanding God's word and also growing in her knowledge and understanding of people.

While doing that internship, the possibility of coming on staff at this church arose, and Stacy was very excited and thankful to the Lord for making that a reality in early 2019. Combining her love of the local church and her love of care/counseling has been an incredible gift, and she is so grateful for all those that she has had the privilege to know and come alongside of. Stacy loves showing the love of Jesus to others and helping to equip people to care well for one another.
