Introduction: To Be Loved is the Rest and the Reward

1. The Holy One Over the Keys Gives His Power (v.7)

2. The Holy One Opens the Kingdom and Gives His Promises 

   a. Divine Salvation (v.8)

   b. Divine Love (v.9)

   c. Divine Protection (v.10)

3. The Holy One Over the Kingdom Gives His Presence (vv.11-13)

1. If Jesus is the King of the kingdom - what do you think it means that he has the keys to the kingdom? (he lets people in) 

2. What does it mean that Jesus is holy and true? (so we can trust he always does what is right!) 

3. Who does he open the kingdom to?  (Those who trust him and hold fast to him)

4. Is it better to be powerful and famous or loved by Jesus? Why? 

5. Does Jesus protecting us in trials mean that we will never have trials? What does it mean?  (Read John 17:5 to help them understand spiritual protection)

6. What does it mean to be a "pillar in the temple of God" and to get "a new name" from God? What are those things pointing to?
