Sermon Outline

Kernel: Jesus sums up the whole Old Covenant law with the reality of loving God with all our heart and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Now, with the law of Christ written on our hearts - we can ask ourselves regularly if the things we do, the thoughts we think, and the things we give ourselves to are fulfilling this reality. Now, the people of God in the church have the privilege to be a holy people by the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Matthew 22:34-40: The Law Depends on This

Introduction: Christ Fulfills, the Spirit Writes (Matt. 5, 2 Cor. 3) 

1) The Law through the Lens of Love (v. 40, Gal. 5:6) 

2) Love God with our All (vv. 37-38)

3) Love our Neighbors as Ourselves (v. 39)
